19 health centers serving rural communities in upstate NY
Our involvement in the 340B program began with the need to manage the program for our own affiliated health care entity – Hudson Headwaters Health Network, which opened its first health center in 1974 and officially became a not-for profit Community Health Center in 1981. Today, the network is comprised of 19 health centers serving rural communities in upstate New York’s Adirondack Mountain region.
Dedicated pharmacy services
A dedicated pharmacy services team was formed in 2001 as Hudson Headwaters began self-managing its own 340B program. A year later, we were the first covered entity in the nation to receive authorization to contract with multiple pharmacies. As the program gained momentum, 340B revenue enabled us to expand access to care and medicines for patients with insufficient financial resources.

In 2006, we began offering 340B third party administrative services to other health care providers using our proprietary Integrity software system. Through continuous enhancements, our Integrity system enables us to manage all facets of the 340B process, tracking every pill and every penny. As a result, over the past 11 years, our services have continued to grow and we are now processing with regional and national pharmacy chains for our health center and hospital clients nationwide.

Begins participating in 340B pharmacy program and develops robust software system; first covered entity in the nation to contract with multiple pharmacies.

After multiple enhancements, unveils latest version of state-of-the-art software system: 340B Integrity.
2020
April 1, 2020 marks the establishment of Hudson Headwaters 340B, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hudson Headwaters Health Network.

After more than a decade of firsthand experience with the program, we’ve learned many valuable lessons that we are able to share with clients every day. The Hudson Headwaters 340B team understands the critical value of systems focused on ensuring compliance and mitigating risk. This understanding led Hudson Headwaters Health Network through a successful HRSA audit in 2015, with no adverse findings. Our keen literacy of the 340B space allows us to deliver strategic preparation and lasting peace of mind for our clients. In effort to share our strengths to target client concerns, in 2016 we began offering Independent Audits and other compliance services.
