It is hard to believe that we are already in the fourth quarter of 2020! As the year winds down there are many items that healthcare organizations should be preparing for, including finding additional ways to optimize your 340B program.
For many of you, reviewing new opportunities may be part of your quarterly checklist. However, we know that the current environment may have spread resources thin. We would like to try and help by providing important dates to remember and some best practices that will help you make sound program decisions to close out 2020.
Important Dates:
Today: Begin reviewing e-prescribing reports (the goal is to identify potential pharmacy partners you are not currently working with)
Early December: Complete an analysis of e-prescribing trends and request Hudson Headwaters 340B to submit your provider NPI list for analysis
December 15: For new arrangement, request a PSA from the pharmacy for review and potential redlines
January 1-15: Program Registration, be sure to have a fully executed PSA in place by 1/15
